Whether it’s a 3 or a 5 day cleanse you’ve just completed, it’s important to ease you was back into a normal eating pattern so that you maintain your results. We recommend you follow a whole grain, plant based diet for 5 days post cleanse. This involves eating foods that are minimally processed and in their purest form as much as possible.
The following foods are recommended:
- whole grains, fruits, vegetables and legumes
In Moderation:
- nuts, seeds, avocados, good quality unprocessed oils, natural sweetness and unprocessed tofu (avoid any processed soy products)
Avoid:
- Animal products such as meat, dairy and eggs
- Heavily processed foods and grains such as white rice, white flour, foods containing added sugars or artificial sweeteners and foods containing added processed fats.
Make sure you maintain protein levels through beans and pulses, grains such as brown rice and quinoa and small amounts of nuts and tofu.
Nut milks are allowed but check the container to make sure there are no hidden additives.
Drink plenty of water and herbal teas. Avoid caffeine for these 5 days.
After these 5 days are up we recommend re-introducing your regular diet back in slowly. Stick with whole foods and plants as much as possible and continue to avoid processed foods on an ongoing basis. You can start to re-introduce coffee back into your diet but continue to eat as much fresh fruit and vegetables as possible. Maintain drinking 2 litres of water each day.
We also offer a post detox plan for those who wish to continue with pre-made meals. This can be tailored to specific requirements and usually consists of the following:
Breakfast: overnight oats with fresh fruit & coconut milk
Lunch: soup & vegetarian salad
Dinner: salad & juice

For best results we recommend consuming liquids only for the duration of your cleanse, this includes lots of water and herbal teas. We recommend staying away from anything containing caffeine. As we blend some of our ingredients in, most people report being surprisingly full with the juices / soups however if you are struggling and do feel very hungry allow yourself to have something small to eat rather than stop the cleanse completely. We recommend keeping it as clean and non processed as possible. Eggs, fresh salad, baked fish, avocados or bananas are ideal.
The key to maintaining your results is to ease yourself back into normal eating and to keep your diet as whole food based and non processed as possible. The great thing about completing a cleanse is that it tends to change your eating patterns in terms of what your body will crave naturally. You will find yourself naturally craving more healthy food options so lean into this and use it as an opportunity to clean up your diet. Your cravings for processed, sugary foods should diminish and you will find yourself naturally craving more fruit and vegetables. We also offer a post cleanse maintenance plan for those who wish for a little more help with maintenance: Maintenance Plan
For the days prior to starting your cleanse it is best to cut down on caffeine, alcohol and processed, sugary foods. This will ensure that your body’s reaction to the detox process won’t be as severe. Drink plenty of water to help flush out any toxins.
As it is a detox for your body it is best no cut out caffeine for the few days prior to your cleanse as well as the duration of your cleanse. You may substitute this for herbal and caffeine tree teas. It is also best not to consume any carbonated drinks for the duration of your cleanse.
We recommend no heavy exercise or training for the duration of your cleanse. This is solely because your daily calorie intake will be cut, therefore if you burn excessive calories through training, you are more likely to be hungry and break the cleanse. Instead we recommend light exercise such as walking, gentle yoga / pilates or swimming.
